1/2  cup (カップ) milk (牛乳)   icing (アイシング) (see recipe below) add (加える) ingredients (材料) to list
手順


1. In a mixing bowl (ボウル), combine (混ぜる) flour (小麦粉), sugar (砂糖), baking powder (ベーキングパウダー), soda, and salt (塩).

4. bake (オーブンで焼く) the scones (スコーン) in a 375 degree (度) f (華氏。400度F=約200度C) oven (オーブン) 15 to 18 minutes (分) or until (になるまで) golden. remove (取り出す); cool (冷ます) on (冷ます) a wire rack (金網台) for 5 minutes (分).

5. Mix together the icing (アイシング). Drizzle over scones (スコーン). Serve warm (温かい). 1. Heat oven (オーブン) to 400 degree (度)s F. Spread a large (大きな) sheet of parchment paper (クッキングシート) on countertop.

Repeat, with remaining dough (生地), spacing 2 inch (インチ。1インチ=約2.5cm)es apart (間隔). Brush (ハケで塗る) with egg (卵) white (卵白); sprinkle with (振りかける) sugar (砂糖). cut (切る) halfway down but not through each circle, 6 wedges (部分) for each round. Slide paper with dough (生地) onto baking sheet (クッキングシート).

4. bake (オーブンで焼く) at 400 degree (度)s F for about 18 minutes (分) or until (になるまで) golden brown (茶色). remove (取り出す) to wire rack (金網台) to cool (冷ます) slightly (軽く). Pull apart (間隔) at cut (切る) lines. Serve warm (温かい) or at room temperature (常温).

1. Preheat (余熱) oven (オーブン) to 400 degree (度)s F. In a large (大きな) bowl (ボウル) combine (混ぜる) flour (小麦粉), the 2 tablespoon (大さじ) (スプーン)s sugar (砂糖), the baking powder (ベーキングパウダー), and salt (塩). Using a pastry blender (ミキサー), cut (切る) in butter (バター) until (になるまで) mixture resembles coarse (粗い) crumbs. Make a well in center (中央にくぼみを作る) of flour (小麦粉) mixture; set aside (取っておく).

2. In a medium bowl (ボウル) combine (混ぜる) egg (卵)s, 3/4 cup (カップ) whipping cream (ホイップクリーム), and currants (干しブドウ). add (加える) egg (卵) mixture all at once to flour (小麦粉) mixture. Using a fork (フォーク), stir (かき混ぜる) just until (になるまで) moistened (しっとりするまで).

3. Turn dough (生地) out onto a lightly (軽く) flour (小麦粉)ed surface (表面). knead (こねる) dough (生地) by folding (たたんで) and Gently (優しく) pressing (押して) dough (生地) for 10 to 12 strokes (繰り返し) or until (になるまで) dough (生地) is nearly smooth (滑らか). Divide (分ける) dough (生地) in half (半分に). pat (軽く叩く) or lightly (軽く) roll (巻く) half of the dough (生地) into a 6-inch (インチ。1インチ=約2.5cm) circle. cut (切る) into 6 wedges (部分). Repeat with remaining dough (生地).

4. Place (置く) scones (スコーン) 2 inch (インチ。1インチ=約2.5cm)es apart (間隔) on an ungrease (油を塗る)d baking sheet (クッキングシート). Brush (ハケで塗る) scones (スコーン) with whipping cream (ホイップクリーム) or milk (牛乳) and sprinkle with (振りかける) add (加える)itional (追加の) sugar (砂糖). bake (オーブンで焼く) for 12 to 14 minutes (分) or until (になるまで) golden. remove (取り出す) scones (スコーン) from baking sheet (クッキングシート); serve warm (温かい).

6. orange (オレンジ) scones (スコーン): Prepare as above, except omit the currants (干しブドウ) or raisins (レーズン) and stir (かき混ぜる) in 1-1/2 teaspoon (小さじ) (スプーン)s finely shredded (きざんだ) orange (オレンジ) peel (皮) with the egg (卵) mixture. For icing (アイシング), combine (混ぜる) 1 cup (カップ) powdered sugar (砂糖), 1 tablespoon (大さじ) (スプーン) orange (オレンジ) juice (ジュース), and 1/4 teaspoon (小さじ) (スプーン) vanilla (バニラ); stir (かき混ぜる) in add (加える)itional (追加の) orange (オレンジ) juice (ジュース), 1 teaspoon (小さじ) (スプーン) at a time, to make drizzling consistency. Drizzle over scones (スコーン).

7. Cherry scones (スコーン): Prepare as above, except omit the currants (干しブドウ) or raisins (レーズン). In a small (小さい) bowl (ボウル) pour enough boiling water (水) over 1/2 cup (カップ) snipped dried (干した) tart cherries (チェリー) to cover. Let stand for 5 minutes (分); drain well. stir (かき混ぜる) drained (水分の抜かれた) cherries (チェリー) and 1/4 teaspoon (小さじ) (スプーン) almond extract in with the egg (卵) mixture.

1. Heat the oven (オーブン) to 375 degree (度)s F. In a bowl (ボウル), combine (混ぜる) the Baking Mix with the zest and the blueberries (ベリー). Break the egg (卵) into the butter (バター)milk (牛乳) and stir (かき混ぜる) with a fork (フォーク); add (加える) the sugar (砂糖) and stir (かき混ぜる) briefly to combine (混ぜる). Make a shallow well in the dry mix and pour in the wet ingredients (材料). With as few strokes (繰り返し) as possible, stir (かき混ぜる) until (になるまで) the mixture is just combine (混ぜる)d. It should be loose, but if it doesn't hold together at all, add (加える) more butter (バター)milk (牛乳) 1 tablespoon (大さじ) (スプーン) at a time.

2. Generously flour (小麦粉) a counter and turn the dough (生地) out onto it; it will be shaggy and very soft. Scrape any bits in the bowl (ボウル) onto the mound of dough (生地). flour (小麦粉) your hands. Shape the mixture into a very loose rectangle with the short side nearest you. Using a bench knife (ナイフ), a pastry scraper, or a spat (軽く叩く)ula to help lift the ragged dough (生地), fold the bottom third over the center third, and then the top third over the center, as if you're folding (たたんで) a business letter. pat (軽く叩く) down to shape another rectangle, turn it so the short side is nearest you, and repeat the folding (たたんで). Divide (分ける) the dough (生地) and shape each half into a round about 3/4 inch (インチ。1インチ=約2.5cm) thick (厚さ). With a pastry Brush (ハケで塗る), Brush (ハケで塗る) off the excess flour (小麦粉). With a sharp knife (ナイフ), cut (切る) the rounds into six wedges (部分) each. Brush (ハケで塗る) the tops with butter (バター)milk (牛乳) and sprinkle them with-sugar (砂糖). bake (オーブンで焼く) on an ungrease (油を塗る)d baking sheet (クッキングシート) (or one lined with parchment) until (になるまで) golden brown (茶色), 25 to 30 minutes (分). Tips: Variations: In Place (置く) of the blueberries (ベリー), try 1/2 cup (カップ) dried (干した) fruit, like currants (干しブドウ) or apricots, chopped if large (大きな), or 1 cup (カップ) of your favorite berries (ベリー) or nuts. You could also rePlace (置く) the lemon (レモン) zest with orange (オレンジ). Multi-Purpose Baking Mix In a large (大きな) bowl (ボウル), stir (かき混ぜる) the flour (小麦粉), sugar (砂糖), baking powder (ベーキングパウダー), baking soda (重曹), and salt (塩). cut (切る) or massage the butter (バター) into the flour (小麦粉) with a fork (フォーク), a pastry cut (切る)ter, or your fingers until (になるまで) the mixture looks like cornmeal (粉末) and the biggest pieces of butter (バター) are the size of large (大きな) peas. (You can also do this in a food processor; just be sure not to overmix.) Proceed with Herbed Cheese butter (バター)milk (牛乳) biscuit (ビスケット)s, Blueberry scones (スコーン), Shortcake biscuit (ビスケット)s, or Fruit Cobbler, or refrigerate or Freeze (冷凍) the mixture until (になるまで) ready to use.
