3. lightly (軽く) knead (こねる) dough (生地) 5 or 6 times. Shape into a 6-inch (インチ。1インチ=約2.5cm) circle on prepared cookie sheet. combine (混ぜる) remaining 2 teaspoon (小さじ) (スプーン)s sugar (砂糖) and orange (オレンジ) peel (皮) in a cup (カップ). Brush (ハケで塗る) top of dough (生地) with remaining 1 tablespoon (大さじ) (スプーン) milk (牛乳); sprinkle with (振りかける) orange (オレンジ) topping. cut (切る) into 8 wedges (部分), but do not separate. bake (オーブンで焼く) 16 to 18 minutes (分), until (になるまで) golden. Makes 8 scones (スコーン).

4. Tip: If the orange (オレンジ) topping seems too moist to sprinkle, Gently (優しく) spread it with your fingertips.

6. Pulse in cheddar cheese (チェダーチーズ) and chives. Approximately two pulses.

8. Use a round cookie or biscuit (ビスケット) cut (切る)ter to cut (切る) scones (スコーン). Place (置く) scones (スコーン) onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper (クッキングシート). Brush (ハケで塗る) the top of the scones (スコーン) with reserved cream.

9. bake (オーブンで焼く) for 20-25 minutes (分) until (になるまで) light golden.
